Made In L.A. x KCRW Summer Nights 2012

As a devoted KCRW listener I’m constantly hearing about all the free summer night events going on in L.A. With August fast approaching I knew I had to hurry up and get my free music fill before everything ended. Yesterday I made my way to the Hammer Museum which is featuring Made in L.A. 2012, a large-scale biennial survey of work of Los Angeles-based artist.
The lighting was perfect for a self pic.
Got a chance to take a couple of pictures of the art before they closed for the night.
For those of you know not familiar with KCRW Summer Nights 2012, it is a series of free, all ages, outdoors shows going on this summer throughout L.A. This summer on Thursday nights the Hammer Museum’s outdoor courtyard is featuring KCRW DJs that select sets inspired by the “Made in L.A.” series.
This week, DJ Valida took up residence in the courtyard. She can be heard on air at KCRW’s The Lab. She can also be seen at The Standard Hollywood on Wednesday evenings.
In addition to the live DJ there was a very popular photo booth.
This was the first KCRW Summer Nights of 2012 for me. I’m looking forward to a few more before the summer is over. Make sure to check out the KCRW website for more information on locations and scheduled shows. One thing is for sure… I am so glad that there is still plenty of summer left to enjoy.
